DfE Advice for Schools

The Prime Minister has announced the government’s roadmap for how and when the UK will adjust its response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, including the phased return of some children to school from 1 June, at the earliest. 

All schools are different, and it is not possible for the government to set specific national guidelines that could be universally applicable.

The guidance and framework will help school leaders and trusts to start to think through the steps they might need to take to open their schools for more pupils as a starting point from which schools and trusts may choose to develop their own plans

PLEASE NOTE:  THE DFE GUIDANCE IS EVER CHANGING AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO REVIEW OUR PRACTISES IN LINE WITH THIS INFORMATION, AS AND WHEN ANYTHING CHANGES.  WE WILL CONTINUE TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU VIA DIRECT EMAIL AND VIA THE SCHOOL WEBSITE.  PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU VISIT THE SITE REGULARLY TO STAY UP TO DATE

Planned Start/finish times for 1st June

Year 6 – Start - 8.30am – Finish - 2.45pm (Exit/Entrance –Pedestrian entrance to KS2 playground and then walk round to hall door)

Key worker/Priority children – 8.45am – 3.15pm - (Exit/Entrance - Pedestrian entrance to KS2 playground and then enter school through small study room next to the dining room and then walk to Year 6 classroom)

Year 1 – Start – 9.00am finish 3.15pm (Exit/Entrance – Infant Playground gate)

Reception - Start -  9.15am – Finish 12.15pm – (Exit/Entrance - Double gates at the KS2 entrance)  - **REVISED TIME**

Nursery – Start 9.30am – Finish 12.30pm - (Exit/Entrance - Double gates at the KS2 entrance) - **REVISED TIME**
