Welcome to our School

We are a one form entry primary school in Little Heath, Hertfordshire with a recent Ofsted rating 'good'.

It is our aim at Little Heath that everyone who spends time with us finds it an enriching experience. We have made a real effort to balance the aims of excellence and enjoyment for all children. The school is a friendly and safe environment in which pupils show respect towards each other and the staff. Behaviour is exceptionally good and pupils display positive attitudes to their learning and their school. We try to make teaching and learning relevant and fun. Blending the best of traditional teaching methods with contemporary practice and technologies, we encourage creativity so that learning and teaching at Little Heath is enjoyable for all.

We have a new Foundation Unit and teach children from Nursery to Year 6. This new school building and the recent window replacements have made improvements to the school environment. Our pupils enjoy bright classrooms; all KS1 have access to the outside and the Early Years has a large purpose-built area dedicated to outdoor learning. Our school site also incorporates an attractive outdoor classroom area.

Our school is a friendly school where everyone is known and cared for. Teachers and pupils care for one another and treat each other with respect and kindness which allows teachers to challenge and stretch pupils, helping them to persevere to achieve their potential.

Our Governors are committed, enthusiastic and keen to continue the development of our lovely school. We have very supportive PTA who raise extra funds for our school.

Our website aims to give you a taster of the school, but please come and visit for yourself – our Year 6 children love to show visitors the school and I would be happy to meet you and answer any further questions.
