With our curriculum we have made a real effort to balance the aims of excellence and enjoyment for all children. We try to make teaching and learning relevant and fun. Blending the best of traditional teaching methods with contemporary practice and technologies, we encourage creativity so that learning and teaching at Little Heath is enjoyable for all. As well as encouraging creativity we include strategies to help the children become independent learners. We know that independent learners become the best lifelong learners which helps to produce more successful adults.
At Little Heath Primary School, we are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents and carers receiving services from the school, irrespective of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, faith or religion or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and able to participate fully in school life.
We understand that some pupils will have additional needs at some time during their school life. Whilst many factors contribute to the range of needs experienced by these children, we believe that much can be done to overcome them by parents, teachers and pupils working in partnership. We endorse the principles of equal opportunities for all.
